The training teams of CD Magec Tías have a new competition at the regional level this weekend, with the women's pre-cadet team playing in the Canary Islands Championship. Tías Fruit Magec Tías has qualified to play in a tournament that takes place on the island of Lanzarote from this Friday to next Sunday. The goal is to compete in each of the matches and add a new experience in terms of training as basketball players.
The Women's Precadet Championship of the Canary Islands takes place, from this Friday to next Sunday, in Arrecife, and will bring together the eight best teams in the archipelago in the category. In the first phase of the competition, Tías Fruit Magec Tías has been placed in group A, and will have as rivals EB Felipe Antón from La Palma, CB Telde from Gran Canaria and Clarinos Nuryana-Candelaria from Tenerife.
A total of twelve players make up the Tías Fruit Magec Tías team. The call for the Canary Islands Women's Precadet Championship is made up of Ainara Suárez Páez, Famara Alonso Hernández, Irene Vidal Ayala, Natalia Montelongo Rodríguez, Claudia Cabrera Cabrera, Mararía Becerra Guzmán, Maura Strnsky, Emma de León Rodríguez, María Muñoz Bethencourt, Leire Angela Nguema Nfono, Kiara González Peña and Andrea Santana Arcas. The team's coaching staff includes Cristo González and Coraima Fuentes.
Tías Fruit Magec Tías will debut on the afternoon of this Friday, starting at 5:00 p.m., against Clarinos Nuryana-Candelaria and will take place in the pavilion of the Lanzarote Sports City. On Saturday morning, they will face CD Telde, starting at 10:00 a.m., in the IES Blas Cabrera Felipe Pavilion. And they close the first phase, against EB Felipe Antón, starting at 5:00 p.m., also at IES Blas Cabrera Felipe.
The final day of the Canary Islands Women's Precadet Championship is scheduled for Sunday morning. The fourth classified of each group will fight for the 7th and 8th position, the third will fight for the 5th and 6th place, the second will play the consolation final for the 3rd and 4th place, and the leaders of each group will play the grand final.
