On this occasion, the intellectual disability teams will participate together with a mental health team, bringing together more than 140 players.

The presentation of the third day of the season of the Basketball League Without Limits Plátano de Canarias was held at noon this Wednesday, an event that took place in the Tías Municipal Pavilion. The event was presided over by the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, who was accompanied by Marci Acuña, Minister of Social Welfare and Inclusion of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Nicolás Saavedra, Deputy Mayor of Tías, and Ismael Cruz, Councilor for Sports of Tías. In addition, Sergio Castro, head of the Insular Basketball Delegation of Lanzarote, along with Jesús García and Leandro Abad, coach and player, respectively, of the Magec Tías Inclusivo, were also present.

José Juan Cruz considered that Saturday will be a "special day with the celebration of an inclusive sports day in our sports facilities." The Councilor for Sports of Tías, Ismael Cruz, agreed, recalling that the "Magec Tías is doing a great job for inclusion and is marking milestones in terms of inclusive sports."

For her part, Marci Acuña congratulated the "Tías City Council for believing in inclusion and supporting this type of initiative", a congratulation that she also extended to Magec Tías for "being one of the pioneer clubs in real inclusion and believing in it, which is why it is to be valued and we must continue to support it from everyone."

On behalf of the Canary Islands Basketball Federation, Sergio Castro recalled that "for us this is a very important activity that helps to have a space to have that real inclusion." In addition, he explained that this weekend a historic event will take place, with the dispute of a basketball game between the mental health team of CB Las Palmas and a federated team of Magec Tías made up of players from the children's and pre-cadet categories.

Jesús García, one of the coaches of Magec Tías Inclusivo, pointed out that "we are making great strides with ADISLAN in terms of integration, developing an activity that helps to promote improvement in the sports part and that it can be used in the daily life of the players who participate in this initiative."

Finally, Leandro Abad, player of Magec Tías Inclusivo and user of ADISLAN, made a call "to the entire island of Lanzarote to join us this Saturday, and to be able to enjoy a day of basketball, fun and companionship, through a sport that we are passionate about such as basketball."

The third day of the Basketball League Without Limits Plátano de Canarias will feature the participation of the intellectual disability teams of Saltamos Las Barreras, Gran Canaria Proyecto Suma, Magec Tías Inclusivo Negro, Magec Tías Inclusivo Rojo and CD Activos, and also with the presence of the mental health team of CB Las Palmas.
