Playa Blanca hosted the Wild Race Ninja this Sunday, a sporting event that debuted in the southern town, bringing together more than a hundred athletes who had to overcome the 11 tough obstacles on a 150-meter circuit in the surroundings of Playa Dorada.

The Consistory points out that the competitiveness and effort of men and women who faced the challenge proposed in Playa Blanca, the music, the lights and above all the atmosphere and harmony between athletes and the public rounded off a most lively night, which also ended without injuries or incidents.

“The performance of the athletes and the impeccable behavior of the attendees who respected the demarcated areas to preserve the quality and safety of the event, says a lot about the level of awareness of our people about the importance of this and other competitions that we celebrate during the year for the image and economy of the municipality”, emphasizes the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda.

The southern Consistory explains that the Wild Race Ninja Track is a competition in pairs where each of them had the opportunity to add the times of the three initial rounds, to then start successive rounds that gave the eight best times the right to eliminate each other, until the grand final in both general and mixed categories.

Runners from different parts of the Canary Islands competed and positively valued the event, which also received the approval of the public. The event consisted of 11 obstacles that also changed as the rounds progressed. The winners were the teams of FuerteMonkey from Fuerteventura and Hand Halong from Lanzarote, although the City Council assures that, in short, the big winner "was the town of Playa Blanca".
