The Plaza de las Naciones in Puerto del Carmen will be the setting for the Lite Quest 3x3 Lanzarote FIBA basketball championship between September 1st and 3rd.
The organization, led by Marius Gal, has reported that "all places for professionals have already been filled. The expectation in basketball in the Canary Islands and the rest of Spain is enormous, closing the places for pros weeks before the tournament. There are still places for local teams that will compete in six different categories, so I encourage basketball players from Lanzarote and the rest of the Canary Islands to enjoy the authentic basketball festival that will take place in September in Puerto del Carmen.
The deadline to register is August 25th. The tournament will be free and will offer, with official FIBA materials, the 3x3, with matches to 21 points or ten minutes in duration, "full of a frenetic, spectacular and exciting game", he said in a statement.

Each team may have a maximum of four players and a minimum of three and, in addition, no changes will be allowed during the tournament of any of the registered players.
The two best teams in each category will receive prizes. The tournament, organized by Under the Rim Lanzarote, is a collaboration between the Tías City Council and the Lanzarote Cabildo.
