The triathlon team of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife had an appointment this past weekend at the IV Acuatlón Mesa del Mar. The event, held on the island of Tenerife, had the presence of ten members of the club of the capital, enjoying a new experience and above all, developing on the circuit all the potential acquired over the last months in the demanding training days.
The IV Acuatlón Mesa del Mar for the minor categories is part of the fourth event of the season of the Canary Islands Talent Series, organized by the Canary Islands Triathlon Federation (FECANTRI). The triathlon team of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife that traveled to Tenerife had ten young triathletes, being accompanied by Israel Caraballo, coach and head of the triathlon section of the club.
The most outstanding performance in the IV Acuatlón Mesa del Mar was carried out by Martina Balea Curbelo, a triathlete who in the children's category achieved the second position on the finish line, with a final time of 13 minutes and 11 seconds. Also highlight the role played by Izan Díaz Alcántara in the Benjamin category, being second in his event.
The rest of the triathletes of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife were fighting for the first places in the classification in their respective categories. A test in which the performance of the children Pau Sánchez Bailina, María García Rodríguez, Vega Martín Ruiz and Claudia Rodríguez Pérez also stood out. And in the Alevín category, Martina Guerra Machín had a great performance in the IV Acuatlón Mesa del Mar.
