Island motorsport is in luck: the 4th San Antonio - Tías Slalom 2025 returns to the calendar after seven years of inactivity, in an edition that promises strong emotions and great participation. The event, which will be held on Saturday, June 28, is a milestone for motor enthusiasts in Lanzarote and will have the firm support of the Tías City Council, through its Department of Sports, headed by Ismael Cruz, as well as the private sponsorship of Gran Karting Lanzarote, a key player in the rebirth of the event.
“The return of the San Antonio - Tías Slalom is a demonstration of what can be achieved when efforts are combined. Gran Karting Lanzarote has strongly supported this project and from the Department of Sports we will continue to support everything that promotes sports in Lanzarote,” said Councilor Cruz. His commitment has been decisive in recovering a historic event rooted in the sporting tradition of the municipality.
Organized by Escudería Lanzarote, the event will be held on a 5.4-kilometer track, with three passes to the route. It will count towards the Lanzarote Island Slalom Championship and the Provincial Kart Cross, and will feature the participation of vehicles from different categories: cars, kart cross, quads and motorcycles.
The Team, under the presidency of Dani Ponce, works with dedication to continue improving motorsport on the island. One of the great novelties for 2025 will be the creation of the first Island Slalom Championship, which seeks to bring this modality closer to new drivers and reinforce the existing hobby.
Registration will be open until Wednesday, June 18, and the provisional list of registered drivers will be published on Monday, June 23.
The excitement is served. The 4th San Antonio - Tías Slalom 2025 promises to be much more than a race: it will be Lanzarote's reunion with one of its most vibrant passions.
