The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife presents the summer sports events

The J80 class opens the program with the XVI Princess Alexia Trophy and the Iberdrola Women's Triathlon League, Cesar Manrique crossings and regattas, San Ginés and Madeira complete the program until September

The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife hosted this Tuesday the presentation of its main sports events of the summer program, which includes 2 J80 regattas, the Cesar Manrique - RCNA - Calero Marinas cruises, San Ginés and Canarias Madeira. In addition to the Arrecife City Triathlon, and the San Juan and San Ginés swimming crossings. Which together with the Arrecife - Agadir Regatta are the most traditional events on the RCNA sports calendar.

President Julio Romero accompanied by José Calero, president of Calero Marinas, the councilor of the Arrecife City Council Eli Merino and the RCNA directors Gema Pulgarín and Carlos Cañibano presided over the presentation.

Julio Romero after his speech presented José Calero with the RCNA gold badge for his continued collaboration with the entity and the promotion of sailing. In turn, Calero Marina was recently distinguished with the highest distinction awarded by the RFEV for the quantity and quality of its regattas.

An emotional José Calero thanked the gesture and recalled the 24 years of collaboration with the RCNA, both entities are co-organizers of the César Manrique Trophy - RCNA - Calero
Marinas and the Princess Alexia J80 Trophy.

The event began with the presentation of the 16th Princess Alexia Trophy - Canary Islands J80 Championship, which will be held from April 13 to 14. Subsequently, the RCNA - Puerto Calero women's sailing team was presented, which participates in the Iberdrola Women's League, which already had its first events in Altea and Calpe. Now it arrives in Lanzarote on April 27 and 28. Laura Iza as skipper leads the team completed by Marta Armas, Ana Hernández, Esther García and Eva Angelina Perdomo.

The program continues in June with the 13th César Manrique Trophy - RCNA - Calero Marinas of the cruise class, a scoring event for the Spanish Championship and the first of the Canary Islands Cruise Circuit 2024. The event will be from June 6 to 8 in waters of Arrecife and based in Marina Lanzarote. The next event on June 22 with the 20th San Juan Swimming Crossing.

August will have three events, on the 10th the 30th Arrecife City Triathlon - RCNA, which will be valid as a Minor Triathlon of the Canary Islands Young Talents Series and Serious Canary Islands Triathlon. On the 17th, the 29th San Ginés Swimming Crossing, Popular Minor Crossing and Open II Lanzarote Cup Crossing will be held.

The month of August closes on the 16th and 17th with the celebration of the 74th San Ginés International Regatta, a pioneering sporting event of all those held in the Canary Islands and one of the oldest in Spain together with the Teresa Herrera and Ramon de Carranza football trophies. It will connect the ports of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Arrecife de Lanzarote with an approximate route of 110 nautical miles.

The final course will be served in the month of September with the departure on the 3rd of the 23rd Canary Islands - Madeira Regatta, which will depart this time from Arrecife to reach the finish line in Funchal.
In addition to the indicated events, the RCNA complements it with its local program with the Vuelta a Lanzarote and the regattas of La Graciosa co-organized with Líneas Romero, to Puerto del Rosario with the Fuerteventura Yacht Club and the Regatta to Corralejo in collaboration with Puertos Canarios, all of them of the cruise class. As well as other local light sailing regattas.
