The triathlon team of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife experienced an intense weekend of competition, participating on Saturday in the first day of the Island Games for Sports Promotion and traveling on Sunday to Gran Canaria to take part in the Indoor Aquathlon Club Natación Las Palmas. The young group of athletes showed their commitment and talent in each of the categories, highlighting the victory of Lucas Díaz in the men's Benjamin category.
The Indoor Aquathlon Club Natación Las Palmas was attended by more than 60 participants from the pre-Benjamin, Alevín, Infantil and Cadet categories, taking place in the facilities of the Julio Navarro pool and its surroundings.
The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife traveled to Gran Canaria with a team of nine triathletes, accompanied by Israel Caraballo as coach. The expedition was made up of Lucas Díaz, Marc Sánchez, Juan Grimón, Pau Sánchez, Martina Balea, Vega Martín, Claudia Rodríguez, Gara Rodríguez and Tarek Larrotcha.
In the men's Benjamin category, Lucas Díaz Cabrera took the victory by completing the swimming and running course in a time of 5 minutes and 33 seconds. For his part, Marc Sánchez was the second classified in the men's Alevín category with a record of 8 minutes and 49 seconds. In the Cadet category, the triathletes of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife achieved two podiums, with Martina Belea and Pau Sánchez finishing second.
Excellent results that reflect the dedication of the young group of triathletes of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, working in each of the training sessions to improve the results day by day.
