The Royal Yacht Club of Arrecife is immersed in the preparations for the different sports activities that will take place during the month of August, and where one of the highlights will be the celebration of the thirtieth edition of the RCNA Triathlon – City of Arrecife. The club received a very special visit this week, as they had the honor of having the presence of José Hidalgo Martín, president of the Spanish Triathlon Federation, who was able to see firsthand the facilities of the Royal Yacht Club of Arrecife.
José Hidalgo Martín traveled to the island of Lanzarote this week, where he held different meetings related to the federative entity. He visited Club La Santa and met with the Sports Councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Juan Monzón, to whom he communicated the new projects that are being carried out by the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI) for Lanzarote.
During his visit, he made a stop at the Royal Yacht Club of Arrecife, a club that has been committed for three decades to holding one of the most emblematic triathlons on the regional calendar. José Hidalgo was accompanied by Adrián Ornia Vieites, president of the Canary Islands Triathlon Federation, and Artemi Morera Molina, head of the Federation's Judges Committee.
The president of the Royal Yacht Club of Arrecife, Julio Romero, was the host during José Hidalgo's visit, an event in which Angelines Silva, the club's manager, and José Israel Caraballo, head of the triathlon section, were also present. José Hidalgo was presented with a club plaque, a shirt from the César Manrique Regatta, and the commemorative jersey of the thirtieth edition of the RCNA Triathlon – City of Arrecife.
Next August 10th, the island's capital will become the epicenter of triathlon with the celebration of the XXX RCNA Triathlon – City of Arrecife. A race valid for the Canary Islands Triathlon Series, which will feature the participation of the main exponents of this sport in the archipelago.
