The Tinajo City Council has congratulated the Tinajo Wrestling Club after the result obtained on Saturday night in Valsequillo, Gran Canaria, which has made them the champion of the third category of the Disa Government of the Canary Islands League 2021-2022.
The title comes after losing 12-10 in Gran Canaria, a valid result for the Tinajo team to win the title after previously winning 12-8 at home.
This is the fourth title of the season for the Tinajo team after having achieved the third a few days ago by winning the VI Mamerto Cabrera Medina Super Cup in the Emilio Machín de León Arena in Uga against the Unión Norte Wrestling Club.
The Councilor for Sports, Vianney Rodríguez, considers that "the club has made history with four titles in the season, the result of a season of hope and hard work. Congratulations to everyone and keep fighting for Tinajo."
For his part, the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, congratulates them "for a season full of victories, for the best season in the history of the Tinajo club. It is a pride for me as mayor that this season they have achieved these great goals, the best year in their history, which is a source of pride for all of Tinajo and for Lanzarote, and that is thanks to the team, fans and board of directors for giving everything in the arena. Keep dreaming, without a ceiling."
