The Insular Federation of Latin Sail Barquillos of Lanzarote held an Extraordinary General Assembly on December 2, in which the resignation of Pedro Robayna Fontes as president was announced.
The federative entity enters from this Monday into an anticipated process of elections to the presidency, as established in article 8.4 of the Order of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands and by which the electoral processes of the Canary Islands Sports Federations are regulated.
The call for the anticipated election process for the presidency of the Insular Federation of Latin Sail Barquillos of Lanzarote has been published this Monday, December 9. The electoral regulations and the electoral calendar are displayed on the notice board and on the official website of the Canary Islands Federation of Latin Sail Barquillos.
On this Monday, the deadline for submitting candidacies for the presidency also begins and will conclude next Thursday, December 12. The following day, the list of admitted and provisionally excluded candidates will be published, and the period for submitting claims will be opened.
The deadline for submitting claims will close on Monday, December 16, and if there are any, they will be resolved the following day by the Electoral Board, proceeding to the final proclamation of the candidates for the presidency and the call for the Assembly of the Insular Federation of Latin Sail Barquillos of Lanzarote.
An assembly that will be held on December 21, and in which the provisional proclamation of the elected president will take place, opening a period until Monday, December 23 for the presentation of claims. The electoral process will conclude on Thursday, December 26 with the inauguration of the new president of the Insular Federation of Latin Sail Barquillos of Lanzarote.
