Around 150 boys and girls participated this Friday in the Ocean Lava Kids Lanzarote, a non-competitive event that served to open the weekend's sporting day in the
Plaza de Las Naciones, in Puerto del Carmen.
The wind prevailing on Los Pocillos beach prevented, for safety reasons, the youngest triathletes from carrying out the aquathlon they had planned in their agendas, leaving the event
modified to an athletics event, running along the Avenida de Las Playas and subsequently entering the finish area once the course was completed.

Nearly 150 participants gathered at the start in the cadet, children's, junior, Benjamin and pre-Benjamin categories, who, although they were unable to swim, enjoyed the race to the fullest,
making it clear that youth, despite the pandemic, is prepared to take control of life in a healthy and sporting way.
All the participants reached the finish line and there they received their trophies, a medal made by Adislan with gofio, salt and water and with the inscription "Sport unites people". They also received a white chocolate medal with the Ocean Lava brand logo, which helped them regain strength after the effort made.

The satisfaction of the participants, and their families, was complete. Many will repeat this Saturday, to encourage their fathers and/or mothers, who will do some of the modalities of the
Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon, an event that will start at 08:00 in the morning and has more than 500 participants. The trickle of these in the area of the Plaza de Las
Naciones on the afternoon of this Friday was constant, doing the "check-in" and leaving everything prepared for the big day.
