The conejero team 'Vulcania' is crowned in the Madeira Swimming Master European Championship

The conejero club won eleven golds, four silvers and three bronzes with the participation of six members

Six swimmers from Lanzarote from the club 'Vulcania', participated last week in the 'Madeira Swimming Master European Championship', a European swimming competition. Among the members of the club, Juan Carlos Vallego, won gold in open water, in 800 freestyle, in 4x50 mixed freestyle relay and in 4x5' in mixed styles, the club has reported. In addition, the lucky swimmer also won bronze in 200 freestyle. 

The swimmer Sybille Bouchet had the same luck, taking gold in 3k open water, in 400 freestyle and in 4x50 mixed freestyle. In addition, the bronze also went to her, in 200 freestyle. In the case of the swimmer Jose Juan Aranda, he won gold in 50 backstroke, in 4x50 mixed freestyle and in 4x50 mixed styles. He took several silvers in 100 Freestyle, in 50 freestyle and in 100 backstroke.

A gold 4x50 in mixed styles and a silver 200 styles, is the result obtained by the swimmer Azahara Martinez in the championship. In addition, she was fourth in 200 Breaststroke and seventh in 50 Breaststroke. For Janne Bradt, another of the competitors who won gold in 4x50 mixed styles, silver in 200 styles and who managed to be fourth in 200 Breaststroke and seventh in 50 Breaststroke, having similar results to her teammate. The last of the team members, Luis Alberto Alons, finished sixth in 3k open water. sb

The team has returned from Madeira with a total of 18 medals (11 golds, 4 silvers and 3 bronzes), the club proudly highlighted.
