The Christmas Gymnastics Festival kicked off last Friday with the stands of the Sports City full of public. There, the inaugural day of this event organized by the Island Sports Service of the Cabildo de Lanzarote was held, with the intervention of the Angor Tigotán Artistic Gymnastics Club and the gymnasts of the Island Sports Service. On Saturday, in the morning and afternoon, also in the Sports City, it was the turn for the Isla de Lanzarote Center and, again, the gymnastics group of the Island Sports Service.
One more year, this sports meeting uses the solidarity formula ‘One ticket for a food or a toy’. Thus, people who are going to enjoy the event, even though admission is free, can deposit food and toys in the ‘solidarity goal’. At the end of these sports days, the NGO Emerlan will be in charge of distributing the food and toys collected among the most needy families on the island. In addition, anyone who wishes can also collaborate, even if they are not going to attend the festival.
Within the program, the performance of the Ayatina Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, and the students of the Island Sports Service, was already scheduled for this Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, also from 2 to 8 p.m., the Tenesa Sol Gymnastics Club will participate, together with the gymnasts of the Island Sports Service. On Wednesday it will be the turn for the Capellanía del Yágabo Gymnastics Club, again together with the students of the Island Sports Service. The closing of this twenty-first edition of the Christmas Gymnastics Festival will take place on Thursday. It will be at 8:00 p.m. and will feature special gymnastics groups from each center.
