The town of Langreo, in Asturias, has been the setting for a new edition of the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Communities (CESA) in School Age and Inclusive Badminton, a national competition in which the Canary Islands for the first time in history has climbed to the podium in the inclusive category. Graciela Müggler has represented the Auria Badminton Club, competing in the under 17 (cadet) category and winning the silver medal in the inclusive category.
Graciela Müggler was part of the Canary Islands team that competed in the inclusive category in the CESA Badminton. The Auria Badminton Club player had Eduardo de León, Mateo de Luis, Sulimar Cabrera, Pablo Gómez, César Mateo Camejo, Dario Perera, Celia Cabrera and Atenea Morales as teammates.
In the group stage, the Canary Islands began their participation with a 3-0 victory against Melilla and in the second match they lost 3-0 against Andalusia. The Canary Islands team in the semi-final round won 2-0 against the Valencian Community, a result that ensured for the first time in its history a medal in the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Communities. And in the final, Andalusia was once again the rival of the Canary Islands, with the Andalusians winning 2-0.
Graciela Müggler was also part of the Canary Islands team that competed in the under 17 (cadet) category, with the Canary Islands team finishing the competition in tenth position overall.
