Omar Moriano, Civil Guard and Canarian karateka, conquered last weekend the second phase of the National Karate League that was held in Córdoba in the Kumite modality. In his category (Master II +75 kg), the member of the Suhari club of Tías showed he had no rival.

In the competition, held at the Vista Alegre Sports Palace in the City of Córdoba, Moriano had a great presentation, which also allowed him to qualify for the grand final of the League, which will be held in December in Guadalajara.

The positive aspect of his great performance last weekend is that Moriano will arrive at this event as the number one in the rankings in his category, so he will surely achieve great results.

Great Moment

It should be remembered that Moriano recently won three medals (two golds and one silver) last Sunday, October 18, at the XI European Police and Firefighter Championship, which took place in Vigo, Galicia.

On that occasion, the Canarian climbed onto the podium, winning two golds in the individual kata category and in the Open team kumite category; while he obtained the silver in the individual kumite category +84kg.
