CB San José Obrero recovered the postponed match of the second day on Tuesday morning, receiving the visit of the historic SD Teucro. The Lanzarote team, with a fast game in the first half, was able to open the gap on the scoreboard and a difference that they knew how to manage perfectly in the second half. The rotations from the bench were common, in order not to overload the players in a key week in the national competition.

The match was dominated from the beginning by CB San José Obrero, displaying their usual game on the court. The locals were very confident in the defensive line with the 6:0 and in attack they did not hesitate to run to try to take advantage of the defensive retreat of the Galicians. Óscar Silva, Rafa Robayna and Miguel Laguna, were in charge of establishing a 3-0 partial, putting the score at 5 to 2 in the first six minutes.

Based on a fast and dynamic game, San José Obrero was able to overcome a more leisurely Teucro that tried to assert its physical size in attack. Carmelo Álvarez culminating a counterattack and Acoidán Martín penetrating through the center of the defense, established the 10 to 5 in the 12th minute. María Irene Vilaboa had to request the first timeout on the SD Teucro bench.

The script of the match did not change much in the remaining minutes of the first half, and the bench rotations made by Iñaki Malumbres were barely noticeable on the court. It was necessary to dose the effort, due to the burden of matches that the team has this week. The score at the end of the first half was 18 to 12.

CB San José Obrero continued to be quite serious in the first minutes of the second half, a circumstance that allowed the locals to obtain their maximum income. Alexis Rodríguez scored from the left wing, putting the score at 22 to 14 and raising the advantage to eight goals.

SD Teucro was not willing to give up and the Pontevedra team never gave up. Brais Cerviño scored from the left wing to reduce the difference to five goals (26-21), finding the response of Ángel Iglesias to continue maintaining the six-goal lead.

SD Teucro continued to get closer on the scoreboard, Xurxo Rivas stealing in defense and setting up a quick counterattack to make it 28 to 24. The intervention under the posts of Pavel Miskevich was decisive, stopping a seven-meter shot by Miguel Sio when the Galicians were fighting to put themselves just three goals behind the rival.

CB San José Obrero controlled the match in the minutes remaining until the end and increased the advantage in their favor in the final moments of the match. With the result of 34 to 27, the match came to an end, with San José Obrero adding a victory that places them as the sole leader of the First National Men's League and with a five-point advantage over the third-placed team.

The San José Obrero squad will return to training on Wednesday, preparing for the match next Saturday against Calvo Xiria. A match that will be played at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion.
