The Magec Tías Lanzarote Against Gender Violence added its second victory of the season this weekend, after convincingly defeating Basket Almeda by a score of 69 to 41, in a match that reflected the defensive solidity and collective work of the team led by Jesús García.

From the opening tip, the insular team showed its intention to set the pace of the game. With an intense defense and absolute control of the rebound, the Lanzarote team made it difficult for their rival to have second chances, who soon found themselves eight points down on the scoreboard. That margin was maintained for a good part of the first quarter, thanks to the tactical order and concentration of the local team.

In the second period, the visiting team tightened their defense, which resulted in a low-scoring quarter for both sides. Even so, Magec Tías Lanzarote managed to extend their lead, reaching thirteen points ahead. Two consecutive three-pointers near halftime widened the gap and left the score at 34 to 23, a reflection of the defensive intensity of both teams.

After passing through the locker rooms, Marc Roset's team tried to react with greater offensive aggressiveness, but the locals responded. The accuracy in the shots and the solidity under the boards allowed the Magec Tías Lanzarote to increase their lead to 17 points, practically leaving the match on track.

In the last quarter, with a score of 48 to 31, Basket Almeda was forced to take more risks, opening spaces that the Lanzarote players knew how to exploit intelligently. The rotations from the home team's bench offered freshness and points, highlighting the contribution of the players trained in-house. Alba Rodríguez, who returned this season, signed a three-pointer that ignited the crowd and infected Elena Lozano, also back at the club, who repeated the feat from the perimeter. As well as the entry on the court of youth players such as Isabel Melián or Silvia Muñoz, who always gladden the local fans. The final score of 69 to 41 sealed an unquestionable victory, the result of teamwork, defensive intensity, and the ability to respond in key moments. With this result, the Magec Tías Lanzarote Against Gender Violence team consolidates its position in the middle of the table, with a balance of two wins and three losses, reaffirming its progress after a demanding start to the season.

The red-and-black team will look to maintain the positive dynamic next week, when they visit Elsamex CB Andratx in Mallorca, with the aim of leveling their record and continuing to climb positions in the standings.
