The sports management of CB San José Obrero continues to work on the preparation of the squad for its women's team, with the aim of having a competitive squad for its debut in the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola. The club will continue to rely on the players who have earned their place in the new category and pivot Miriam Páez has renewed her link with San José Obrero.

Miriam Páez Corujo, born on May 28, 2001, is a player who usually occupies the pivot position in the team's attacking actions and who stands out for her qualities in defensive tasks.

After training in the lower categories of CB Zonzamas, she arrived at CB San José Obrero in her second year in the cadet category, a season in which she was proclaimed runner-up in the Canary Islands with the Titerroy team and played in the sector phase of the Spanish Championship. As a youth player she returned to CB Zonzamas, and last season she returned to the first team of CB San José Obrero.

Last season under the orders of David Betancort she played a total of 23 matches in which she scored 34 goals. A player who, despite her youth, already has extensive experience in the national category, playing a total of 62 official matches in the Women's Silver Division and scoring 84 goals.

The renewal of Miriam Páez is in addition to the continuity in the team of goalkeeper Ana Marín, winger Gema Trujillo, pivot Alicia Torres, centre-back Esther de Migue, first line Nabila Harchaouin and winger Melania Cabrera. In the chapter of new incorporations, the Lanzarote team has closed the signings of centre-back Gabi Romero, full-backs Sara de León, Nagore Saenz and Priscila dos Santos and Polish goalkeeper Aleksandra Orowicz.
