The twelfth edition of the Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon continues to grow internationally, and the tourist town of Puerto del Carmen, in the municipality of Tías, will once again become the world epicenter of triathlon on the weekend of October 21 and 22. More than thirty countries will be represented in the different modalities of the Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon, making it a sporting event for all levels of preparation.
Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon has not stopped growing since its birth, becoming the meeting point for thousands of island, regional, national and international triathletes. In this year's edition, athletes from more than thirty nationalities have already confirmed their participation.
Triathletes from all over the world will arrive in Lanzarote, with the economic and tourist impact that this entails for an island that develops a sports tourism model. In addition, the event puts the finishing touch to the triathlon season in the Canary Islands, being the last event of these characteristics to be held in the archipelago.
Registration for the different modalities of the Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon is progressing at a good pace. With just a few weeks left until the registration process closes, 80% of the available places have already been filled, so those who are late run the risk of running out of one of the 800 available bibs. The event includes the Supersprint Aquathlon and Ocean Lava Kids modalities, which will take place on the afternoon of Friday, October 21, and on Saturday the Olympic, Olympic Relay and Half Distance modalities will take place.
The registration period to participate in the XII Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon has been open since March 18, and will be available until October 1 or until all available places for each of the modalities are filled. Ocean Lava Lanzarote Triathlon is organized by K3 Servicios Deportivos Integrales, and is sponsored by Win4Youth – The Adecco Group. It is also sponsored by the Government of the Canary Islands through FEDER and Canarias Latitud de Vida, the Tías City Council with Turismo Puerto del Carmen and the Cabildo de Lanzarote through Lanzarote Reserva de la Biosfera, Lanzarote a Unique Island, the Insular Sports Service and the Sociedad de Promoción Exterior de Lanzarote (SPEL).
