Next October 25th, a new edition of Ocean Lava Lanzarote returns, turning the tourist town of Puerto del Carmen into the epicenter of triathlon. A test consolidated in the calendar of sporting events of the island of Lanzarote, and that every year brings together about a thousand athletes of all ages.
The fifteenth edition of Ocean Lava Lanzarote will feature the "Supersprint" and "Olympic" modalities. In the "Supersprint", participants must complete 400 meters of swimming segment, 11 kilometers of cycling and conclude with a 2.5 kilometer run. A modality that is aimed at all those triathletes who are just starting out and want to enjoy a day of competition.
As for the "Olympic" modality, it maintains the distances of 1,500 meters of swimming, a 40-kilometer bike ride and a run along the Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen of 10 kilometers. As in previous editions, the "Olympic" modality can be done by relay teams, with each member of the team completing one of the segments.
Registrations are progressing at a good pace, surpassing the figures of past editions at this point. Nearly 300 triathletes have already confirmed their participation in this emblematic triathlon event, highlighting the high participation that is being registered in the "Supersprint" modality. Registrations can be made through the event website, completing a simple registration process.
