The third edition of the 'Haría Titán' trail race, in which "more than 600 athletes" from all over the world will participate, will be held on November 18 in Haría. A race that the Haría City Council presented this Thursday, November 2, with the promise of being a "new success" that consolidates the municipality as the trail capital of Lanzarote.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba; the Security and Emergencies Councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Kiko Aparicio; the secretary of Club HTT, Alejandro Hernández, and the HTT runner, Albi Cedrés, among others. Villalba pointed out that this edition will be held "above all because of the great will that the HTT and councilors of the Government group have put in from the beginning." He also stressed that "it is necessary to make an effort, because this event has a positive impact on the municipality's economy and encourages sports practice."

The 'Haría Titán' returns one more year with its flagship modality of 14, 22 and 42 kilometers, circuits that cover different profiles of runners, with the marathon for the most demanding athletes, as well as the 22-kilometer modality for experienced trail lovers and the 'Haría Titan Trail Joven' of 14 kilometers, which will also serve as a stage for amateurs and beginners of all ages.

Kiko Aparicio justified the Cabildo's commitment to this event, since "it exports beyond our borders what we have on this island all year round and this type of event must always have the support of the institutions." He also added that the good work that the HTT has done in past editions "gives them an extra point of confidence in the organization of this event."

The secretary of the HTT stated that, despite all the inconveniences, "we have been up to the task of taking steps to solve all the problems and make the event a reality." Hernández wanted to thank all the public institutions and private entities for their support and commitment to this event.

For Albi Cedrés this event "is special because it is at home" and, although he recognizes that he is "not one hundred percent", he will be among the participants of the 42 kilometers to "fight for the victory". Athletes such as Leire Fernández, Jesús Gil or Donatello Rota have also confirmed their attendance, so there will be a high level in this edition.

"A special competition for being at home"

It should be noted that the trail party will arrive in the northern municipality from Friday, November 17, with the 'Chinija and chinijo Haría Titán', which will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will serve as a prelude to the expected starting gun on November 18, which will start from 7:00 a.m. with the 42-kilometer modality, to give way an hour later to the half marathon. At 9:00 a.m. it will be the turn of the also exciting 14-kilometer circuit.
