Magec Tías Against Gender Violence achieved victory with a comeback against Maristas Coruña. Both teams, arriving with victories in their previous matches, faced each other in a duel where the intensity of the game was not lacking, turning the postponed match of the 17th round into a very exciting game.

The Lanzarote team, already with permanence assured, faced a Maristas Coruña that was looking to consolidate its fourth place in the standings. The return of Carolina Mateo to the local team was a turning point, although the absence of Yaiza García was noticeable in the early stages of the game.

Maristas Coruña, relying on the solidity of Marta Vulovic in the paint, took the lead on the scoreboard, closing the first quarter with 11-18. However, the work of Magec Tías began to shine through Verónica Matoso, who emerged until that moment as the top scorer of the match, and the key contributions of Carolina Mateo and Marta Pérez from the bench.

Despite the fight in the interior game and the dominance in rebounds by Fernando Buendía's team, Magec Tías closed the gap, reaching halftime with a tighter score of 26-31. The third quarter maintained the tension, with Andrea Pérez standing out for the Galicians and a collective effort by the locals, who distributed the points and showed tireless work, highlighting Iranzu Drake with her serious and consistent performance.

The last quarter was decisive for Magec Tías. With the unconditional support of the public, the local team took the lead and did not look back. The work in the paint by Noelia Lago was crucial, neutralizing the key figures of Maristas Coruña and contributing both in defense and attack. The distribution of the game by Carolina Mateo, together with the assists from Verónica Matoso and Iranzu Drake, disarmed the visiting strategy.

The match culminated with a score of 61-55, giving Magec Tías Against Gender Violence its tenth victory of the season. The next day the Lanzarote team will face Mariscos Antón Cortegada away from home, in what will be their last away game of the 2023/2024 season.
