Magec Tías Lanzarote Closes the Season Nearly Achieving a Feat Against Miralvalle

Magec Tías Lanzarote Against Gender Violence ended the season with a defeat against Hierros Díaz Miralvalle, in a match where the Lanzarote team once again showed their mettle on the court, not allowing the opponent to take an easy victory from Tías. Despite being 21 points down at the start of the second half, Magec tied the game in the final seconds and had the last attack to take the victory or force overtime.

The first basket of the match was scored by Yaiza García for the home side and was quickly countered with a 0 to 13 run by Hierros Díaz Miralvalle Extremadura, forcing Jesús García to call the first timeout. The Lanzarote team were losing balls easily and were unable to close the rebound, seeing how the Extremadura team gradually opened the gap on the scoreboard, until reaching 10 to 27 with which the first quarter ended.

Magec Tías Lanzarote increased its defensive intensity in the second half, a circumstance that was key to gradually reducing the difference and seeing the best minutes of the team led by Jesús García on the court. A third quarter in which the Extremadura team continued to be successful and even had a lead of 21 points. The score was 41 to 53 at the end of the third period.
