Important victory achieved by Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" against CB Aridane, in the match of the 20th round of the Women's League 2. A triumph with which the Lanzarote team practically certifies permanence in the national category, although not mathematically, and presents its credentials to continue dreaming of historical heights for the entity.

The match lacked offensive rhythm, with little success, especially in the first part of it. Both one team and the other were much more concerned with not losing than with winning, and the defenses were superior to the opposing attacks, which made the numbers very low, with very poor figures in basket success.

Despite this, the Lanzarote team achieved a slight advantage in the first quarter, which increased slightly more in the second, although these numbers did not please the Magec Tías coach, who asked for more intensity and play from his players in the second half. As if that were not enough, Lade Adepoju retired in the first quarter to the locker room to be treated for some ailment, although she rejoined later without apparent problem, being fundamental for the game of the Tías entity.

The Palmeras, with continuous rotations, tried to find solutions in attack to a match that was gradually becoming complicated, especially in the second half, when Jesús García's players prevailed in all aspects over those of Nauzet Alvarado, without the team from "La Isla Bonita" being able to avoid defeat.

As the minutes passed, the advantage, which was five points at halftime, was increasing. A 7-0 run at the start of the second half helped to detonate the visitors' options, who finished the third quarter with 15 points behind on the scoreboard, extending the difference by almost 30 throughout the last partial of the match.

The debuts of Emma de León or Sara Lago in the first team of Magec Tías, as well as a triple scored by Paula Rijo, were especially celebrated from the stands, and also from the court, where her teammates demonstrate once again the unity that exists in a very solid group.

The match concluded with a score of 63 to 46, giving Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" its tenth victory of the season and placing the team from "The Island of Volcanoes" in a comfortable sixth position, which allows it to continue keeping the dream of playing a promotion phase intact.

Once the match was over, the club had a recognition with Yaiza García for the 3,000 points scored in the national category, with Mario, head of the Tías Municipal Pavilion for many years and now away from his job for health reasons, presenting the souvenir.

The next appointment of Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" will be as a visitor against Hierros Díaz Miralvalle de Extremadura, a team that fell this week against Ingenia Solar Energía Costa de Almería by 75 to 60, placing third in the standings, with 13 wins and 5 losses.
