Saturday was the last day of the regular competition of the Women's League 2, with the visit of Ingenia Solar Energy Costa de Almería to Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence". The Lanzarote team already had the entire competition resolved, however, the Andalusians, already qualified for the final phase, still had possibilities to be first in the general classification, and even to fall to third place, so the victory in this match was extremely important, due to the situation facing the promotion phase to the Challenge League.

The Andalusians started very strong, having a lot of success and imposing themselves in every ball in the air to the Canarians, who had problems scoring, doing so when the score was already 0 to 8. Little by little they were equaling forces with the Almeria team, who had a lot of success in the outside shot, doing a lot of damage to the locals, who had to row against the current to finish the quarter with the score of 17 to 18.

In the second quarter it seemed that the comeback was going to be completed, in fact the Tías team managed to get ahead on the scoreboard on a couple of occasions, but, after the visiting coach called a time-out, they returned to get ahead on the scoreboard again, without abandoning that advantage throughout the match. The differences were widening throughout the quarter, reaching 8 at the end of the first half, 30 to 38.

Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" did not seem to find the rhythm of the match against a rival that was playing for a lot and where a successful Joana Ferreira once again demonstrated that she had not forgotten how to make three-pointers in the Municipal Pavilion of Tías, remembering her time with the Lanzarote club in 18/19, making the local comeback increasingly difficult, with a score of 43 to 56 at the end of the third quarter.

In the last quarter the locals tried to turn the game around, they pulled out their caste and pride, but it was not possible to stop the Almería players. The entry of Natalia Lozano, Elena Lozano, Emma de León and Cecilia Armas in the last quarter, as well as Paula Rijo in the second, as well as the established Yaiza García, Carolina Mateo or Yaiza Betancort made it clear that the future of women's basketball in Lanzarote is in very good health.

The match concluded with the score of 57 to 75 and, while the visitors celebrated the victory and looked sideways to see if there were possibilities of reaching the leadership, the locals hugged and began the farewells after a year of hard work and a more than deserved vacation.
