Magec Tías Against Gender Violence achieved an important victory by prevailing 69 to 73 against CB Terralfàs Delfín Natura, a match corresponding to the second day of the Women's League 2 and that allows them to add the first victory of the season.
From the beginning of the match, the Lanzarote team knew how to identify its advantages and slowed down the game to make the most of its opportunities, ending the first quarter with a favorable score of 15-24. However, in the second quarter, Magec Tías showed an irregular performance and, although it had good offensive situations, it failed to score.
In defense, it committed several errors that were punished by the rival, both on the outside and on the inside. At halftime, the score reflected 39-33 in favor of the Alicante team.
During the break, the mission of the team trained by Cristo González was clear: to get back into the game, aware of the difficulty against a rival with greater intensity. In the third quarter, Magec Tías found its balance again, looking for good interior alternatives and getting closer on the scoreboard, which at the end of the third quarter showed 59-57 for CB Terralfàs Delfín Natura.
The last quarter was decisive for the comeback of the red-and-blacks. In a very even period, both teams showed doubts in both attack and defense. A crucial basket by Carolina Mateo with 12 seconds left gave Magec Tías the advantage, thus securing the final victory with a score of 69-73.
With this result, Magec Tías Against Gender Violence adds the first victory of the season, after starting it last week. Next week, Magec Tías Against Gender Violence will face Club Baloncesto Femenino Alcorcón in the Tías Municipal Pavilion, on Sunday at 12:00 noon.
