Lanzarote will once again become the epicenter of national badminton in November with the celebration of the Spanish U23 Championship. The Auria Badminton Club, together with the Canary Islands Badminton Federation, is working to host around a hundred players from all over the national geography in a competition that will take place from November 15 to 17.
The second edition of the Spanish U23 Badminton Championship lands in the Canary Islands, which has not hosted a competition of these characteristics since 2017 and where Lanzarote will host a Spanish Championship for the first time. The resignation of the previous organizer has allowed the tournament to take place in Lanzarote, with the Spanish Badminton Federation trusting in the good work of the Canary Islands Badminton Federation and the Auria Badminton Club.
The national ranking of the under 23 category will mark the participation in the Spanish Championship, being necessary to be among the top 55 classified to be able to qualify for the final draw of the competition and that will be composed of 32 players in individual, both in the male and female categories. In the doubles modality, it will be necessary to be among the 18 best couples in the category.
The forecasts indicate that around a hundred players from all corners of the national geography will meet in Lanzarote from November 15 to 17, and who will be representing more than 40 clubs in Spain. The Canary Islands Badminton Federation and Auria Badminton Club are immersed in all the preparations for the Spanish U23 Championship, and to leave a pleasant memory to all the participants and that they leave the island of Lanzarote with a unique experience.
The regional players are also working towards the new season and to add the necessary points to be in the positions required by the national ranking.
