The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Department of Sports and Physical Activity, has tendered for the supply and installation of seven sets of badminton posts and their corresponding nets, with the aim of improving the facilities of the Lanzarote Sports City, with an estimated budget of more than 17,000 euros.
The vice-president and councillor of the Planning and Project Coordination area, Maria Jesús Tovar, emphasizes the Government Group's commitment to sport, "providing the Sports City with the necessary resources to offer a quality service to athletes and citizens," she says.
The councillor of the Area of Physical Activity and Sports, Juan Monzón, highlights that the incorporation of this new equipment will allow "to adapt our facilities to the level required by official competitions". He also points out that "we are committed to offering users a modern infrastructure in optimal conditions".
During the awarding process, criteria such as the extension of the guarantee period and the availability of technical service on the island will be taken into account, in order to guarantee an efficient maintenance of the material.
The contract is financed with own resources of the Cabildo and with funds from the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN), and companies have until July 3 to submit proposals. Once awarded, the company will have a maximum period of three months to complete the delivery and installation of the material.
