The Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero squad faces the second week of preseason training, working to arrive in the best physical and tactical conditions for the start of the campaign in the EBA Basketball League. In the offices, the sports management has closed the signing of Jon Ander Cuadra, a player who has gone through the main academies of Spanish basketball and who has spent the last four seasons in NCAA 1 in the United States.

Jon Ander Cuadra, born in Vitoria on September 13, 1996, measures 2.04 meters in height and can play in the positions of forward or power forward. He is a player who dominates the team's interior game and has a good outside shot, standing out throughout his sports career for high percentages in shooting at the basket. He has basketball in his blood, being the son of Mikel Cuadra, one of the top scorers in the competitions of the Spanish Basketball Federation, who played in the ACB with Baskonia and Collado Villalba.

Jon Ander Cuadra started playing in the Baskonia academy until the children's category, being signed by FC Barcelona during his cadet stage, a category in which he was selected by Spain U14 and U15. In his first year as a junior, he signed for Blancos de Rueda Valladolid and the following season he joined CBA of Gran Canaria, a team with which he played in the Spanish Championship and the Euroleague Junior Tournament. In the 2014/2015 season he joined the ranks of Mikeldi of the EBA League, a subsidiary team of Bilbao Basket, and a campaign in which he trained and debuted in LEB Plata with Zornotza. In the last four seasons he has been at Campbell University of NCAA 1, where he combined his studies of International Business and Sports Management.

The new player of Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero, Jon Ander Cuadra, assures that "the agreement arrived late because this summer I was evaluating several offers in other categories and also in another foreign league." The power forward explains that "when Iñaki Merino contacted me, I didn't hesitate to sign, because I know he works very well and that's the only way to improve", being the main reason that led him to opt for the Lanzarote team and adds that "it's going to be a great year personally and for the team".

He defines himself as "a player who can play in the low post and also outside because of my outside shooting threat" and points out that "in defense I can help well with defensive rebounding and change in direct blocking situations so that there are no disadvantages". His experience in the United States in NCAA 1 has helped him to "improve a lot as a player physically, and I took a big step forward that helped me improve in attack and defense".

"This season I hope to continue growing as a player and contribute my experience to the team", says Jon Ander Cuadra and is ambitious when he points out that he will try to contribute "my versatility on the court to be able to reach the promotion play-off to the LEB Plata". The player will land next Sunday on the island of Lanzarote and will be from Monday when he joins the training sessions under the orders of Iñaki Merino.

Jon Ander Cuadra becomes the second signing of Aloe Plus Lanzarote Conejero for the 2019/2020 season, the fourth consecutive season of the Lanzarote team in the EBA Basketball League. He joins the incorporation of the power forward Dani Busto, the return of the forwards Cécimo Armas and Amaurys Robles or Carlos Becerra. In the chapter of renovations, the power forward Javi Herrero, the point guard Richard Nguema, the shooting guard or point guard Elvis Pereira and the continuity of Pedro Hernández will continue in the team.
