With about 2,500 people in the stands of the Ciudad Deportiva, UD Lanzarote sought on Sunday morning to turn the promotion tie against UD Villa de Santa Brígida around. A tie that went uphill for the Rojillos with Josemi's goal that put the Gran Canaria team ahead on the scoreboard. Gonzalo Di Renzo established the tie in the second half, but the locals lacked the drive to go in search of the second goal.

It only took UD Lanzarote four minutes to generate their first dangerous chance. In the 4th minute, Gonzalo Di Renzo won the back of the defenders to stand inside the area, with the pass falling short for his teammate Ismael who was coming from behind.

Shortly after, it was Ismael who put the through ball for Di Renzo, with the striker's shot going wide. Keita finished a ball unmarked at the far post, hitting the ball into the body of a defender. And Raúl with a powerful free kick tested the reflexes of goalkeeper Jonay.

At the edge of half an hour, UD Villa de Santa Brígida took the lead. The visitors took a short corner, the ball reached Josemi and the powerful shot from the edge of the area went into the goal defended by Ruymán.

With 0 to 1, the break was reached.

In the second half, the dominance of UD Lanzarote increased, with Ayoze Pérez having a header in the mouth of the goal that did not find the three sticks. The Rojillos bottled the opponent in their plot of land, with crosses from the sides or with balls hung to the area. Adrián Machín crashed a ball into the side of the net when he entered from the right.

The tie would arrive with 19 minutes left for the end of the match. A cross shot by Isaac from the left vertex of the area crashed into the crossbar, the rejection was headed by Gonzalo Di Renzo to find the stop of Jonay, and the second rejection again was headed by Gonzalo Di Renzo to the bottom of the nets.

The Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote began to believe in the comeback, although the truth is that UD Lanzarote lacked the drive in the minutes that remained until the end of the match. Alejo had the sentence when he was alone in front of Ruymán, going outside the three sticks his shot.

The match ended with a one-goal draw, an insufficient result that leaves UD Lanzarote eliminated from the promotion phase to the Second RFEF.
