The last official tournament of the year was held this past weekend and featured the presence of two players from the Auria Badminton Club. Adrián Carabali and Graciela Müggler traveled to the island of Tenerife to participate in the TOP TTR Tacoronte, and once again the two players from Lanzarote had a great performance.
Müggler won the silver medal in the women's individual competition and Carabali was on the verge of reaching the final draw of the competition.
Graciela Müggler's participation in the TOP TTR Tacoronte began with the match against Lucía Cortés, a match that was decided in favor of the Auria Badminton Club player (21-6, 21-12). Her next opponent was Naiala Rolo, the number one seed in the tournament, with the Lanzarote player falling (11-21, 17-21).
In the third match, she won a tough match against Laura De León (21-13, 25-23). With these results, Graciela Müggler won the silver medal in the TOP TTR Tacoronte, which allowed her to climb onto the podium in the last official tournament of the year in the Canary Islands.
For his part, Adrián Carabali debuted in the tournament with a victory against Carlo García (21-14, 21-11) and was defeated in the second match of the group stage against Kevin Van (13-21, 16-21), a player who started as the number two seed in the event. The second place in the group stage prevented Carabali from accessing the final draw of the men's individual competition.
Adrián Carabali and Graciela Müggler completed their participation in the TOP TTR Tacoronte competing in mixed doubles. The two players from the Auria Badminton Club achieved one victory and suffered two defeats, leaving them without options to fight for the medals in this category.
