The Judo Club Teguise Lanzarote has started again on the right foot its role in the League of the first male division 2022, premiered in the Pavilion of Villaviciosa de Odón, in Madrid.

On the first day, the "conejeros" got the victory against Ciudad de Almería (0-5) and against J.C. Getafe (2-3), reaping the first defeat against the Madrid Club Judo Fontenebro (2-0).

These results leave the judoka team of Teguise, after the league start, in a good position in the table of the elite of national judo with 4 points, tied on points with J.C. Sotillo, J.C. Getafe, the Judo Association Móstoles and CDE Judo Fontenebro, having ahead with 7 points J. C. Stabia and, with 8 points and solo leaders, the Valencia Judo Club.

On the second day, the only Canarian representative of the first division of the National League of Clubs will face JC Sotillo, JC Akari, Girona Judo and Ronin.

"It has been a day that we have finished with good feelings, a good premiere in the highest national division that, as always, is very hard for a team from the Canary Islands, hard but satisfactory." "We fell against good judokas, worthy opponents", says the coach, Alejandro Ramírez.

"Congratulations to everyone, staff and technicians, with a special memory to Diego Fernández Campillo, absent due to illness. Alexis Rosa Moya could not compete due to a knee injury nor Alberto Gaitero Martin, reserving himself for the European Championship next week in Sofia. Good result in general that we will try to improve in the four matches that we will play in the next day of the 7th", adds Ramírez.

"The goal is clear, to continue representing the Canary Islands and Lanzarote and obtain a better result than the 2021 season, where we finished fifth in the Champions League", concludes Alejandro Ramírez.
