Next week the first phase of the Spanish Women's Championship of Autonomous Communities will be held, a competition in which the Canary Islands will face Castilla y León and Madrid, and which will take place at the Francisco Peraza facilities in La Laguna, in Tenerife. The under-17 team has a new training session this Wednesday afternoon and among the 18 selected players is Eira García, a player from FC Puerto del Carmen.
Eira García is having a great season in the Women's First National League, becoming one of the usual players in Jack Talbot's lineups and taking advantage of each of the opportunities given to her by the FC Puerto del Carmen coach. Without going any further, last Saturday she was in charge of opening the scoring against Atlético Perdoma, demonstrating a great definition in the one-on-one with the rival goalkeeper.
A good state of form that is not going unnoticed by coach Ana Pérez, head of the coaching staff of the Canary Islands Under-17 Team. Eira García has received a new call this week from the women's youth team, and this Wednesday afternoon she will attend her fourth training session.
The Canary Islands Under-17 Team is scheduled to play its last preparation match before the first phase of the Spanish Championship. The 18 selected players, including Eira García, have been called at 4:15 p.m. at the La Capellanía field, and will play a preparation match against CD Juan Grande, a team from the Women's First Federation.
