The Pavilion of IES Tías, where Club Deportivo Magec Tías usually trains, has become a vibrant canvas of empowerment and expression, thanks to a feminist mural created by local artist JUIN, collaborating with the artist La Kanalla, from Barcelona, with murals that awaken the power of women.

The artists, Juan Muñoz García (JUIN), who has worked with collectives from Lanzarote, and Mireia Bover Capdevila (La Kanalla), have joined their talents to create a mural that celebrates the diversity and strength of women in all their forms.

What makes this mural truly unique is its ability to be appreciated from different perspectives. From a distance, the bright and striking colors create an immediate visual impact, attracting the attention of viewers and conveying a message of strength and feminism. However, as you approach the mural, another dimension is revealed: the detailed shapes and illustrations reveal strong and diverse female figures in poses full of grace and confidence. This double reading invites observers to delve into the work and discover the messages and symbols hidden in each brushstroke.

Sorority, mutual support, and solidarity among women are central themes in the mural. Through evocative forms, the artists convey the power of collaboration and the importance of joining hands instead of creating walls. The mural is a visual reminder that all women, regardless of their gender expression, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation, have a place in the struggle for equality and respect.

The pavilion, which is normally a space associated with sports and competition, has now been transformed into a place of celebration and empowerment thanks to this artistic work. Both local and visiting teams will be able to enjoy and reflect on the values represented in the mural, thus fostering greater awareness of gender equality and the importance of sorority in sports, and in all areas of life.

The mural is a testament to the power of art to provoke change and convey powerful messages. Tías is proud of this new addition to its artistic heritage and hopes that it will inspire future generations to fight for equality and value diversity in all its forms.
