The eight best teams in the Canary Islands Second Division Men's Basketball will meet in Lanzarote from May 22 to 24, and will be summoned to compete in the Canary Islands Second Division Men's Basketball Championship. A competition that will be organized by the Maramajo Teguise Basketball Club and will have the Teguise Municipal Pavilion as its central venue. The Canary Islands Second Division Men's Basketball Championship will also be an promotion phase, with the promotion to play next season in the First Regional Division at stake.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Timple Museum in Teguise hosted the official presentation of the Canary Islands Second Division Men's Championship to be held in Lanzarote from May 22 to 24. Antonio Díaz, president of CB Maramajo Teguise, was accompanied by Olivia Duque, Councilor for Culture of the Teguise City Council, and Michael Bharwani, representing Adidas Lanzarote, a company that collaborates in the organization of the Canary Islands Second Division Men's Basketball Championship.

The president of CB Maramajo, Antonio Díaz, explained that initially the idea was for the Canary Islands Second Division Men's Championship to be held in a single venue, although finally "due to the number of teams and infrastructures we will have to use the Pavilion of the Lanzarote Sports City to play four games on Saturday". Díaz announced that "it will be a very modern and digital Canary Islands Championship" as all the incidents of the matches can be followed through www.campeonato.maramajo.com. Through a mobile application you can follow the score of all matches live, as well as the statistics of the players who are on the court.

Olivia Duque, Councilor of the City Council of Teguise, wanted to "congratulate the Maramajo Basketball Club and the private companies that collaborate for this type of initiatives." Duque recalled that "the City Council of Teguise supports all these sports initiatives that help promote and disseminate the sports part of the municipality of Teguise." Olivia Duque excused the absence of the mayor of the municipality and the Councilor for Sports, who could not attend the presentation due to agenda reasons.

Michael Bharwani, head of Adidas Lanzarote, and Juan Carlos De Rada, sports director of the Canary Islands Championship, were in charge of unveiling the official ball of the Canary Islands Second Division Men's Basketball Championship. Each match will be played with an exclusive Adidas brand ball.

The presentation ceremony concluded with the screening of the promotional video of the Canary Islands Second Division Men's Basketball Championship. A promotional video that has been made entirely in the streets of the Villa de Teguise and that invites you to come from May 22 to 24 to the Teguise Municipal Pavilion and experience the magic of basketball in its purest form.
