The San Francisco Javier neighborhood in Arrecife resumed this Wednesday, after the break for the Christmas holidays, the celebration of the XXIV "Bola Canaria de Madera Abuelos Conejeros" Tournament, a competition organized by the Cabildo with the collaboration of the Island's City Councils that has **nearly 900 participants over 60 years of age**.
And as has been customary since the start of the tournament last November, the deputy mayor of Arrecife, Echedey Eugenio, supported the participating teams this Wednesday accompanied by the councilor responsible for the municipal area of Seniors, Rosmen QuevedoIn the preceding days, both had overseen, along with the Lanzarote Councilor for Cleaning, Jacobo Lemes, the conditioning work on the courts carried out by personnel hired through the municipal program ‘Arrecife Activa 2025’, attached to the aforementioned Department. These tasks ensured that the facilities were in optimal condition for the development of the Abuelos Conejeros tournament.
