Karateka Amelie Skiba was proclaimed double champion this Saturday, June 10th at the fifth International Düsseldorf Cup.
An international competition that included the participation of karatekas from eight countries (Germany, Holland, Luxembourg, Belgium, England, France, Italy and Spain).
The Lanzarote native participated in U14 Kata Female, U14 kumite Female Open, and U14 kumite Female -52kg. In the open category, she was unable to fight for the podium, but she climbed to the top of the podium in the categories in which she will participate in Poreč.
In the kata category, she passed the two qualifying rounds in first place in her group, winning authoritatively in the final, obtaining a score of 23.0 points from the judges, compared to 21.1 from the Luxembourg karateka. Regarding the kumite category, she won in her four matches in her weight category against karatekas from Germany, Holland and Luxembourg.
A new experience that Amelie Skiba, karateka from the Arrecife club Karate Poliarrecife, faced as part of her preparation for the world event in Poreč (Croatia), on the occasion of the WKF Karate1 Youth League that will be held in said city from July 29 to 2.
Without a doubt, good sensations to face the difficult event of the WKF Karate1 Youth League in Poreč, where Amelie Skiba will participate in the U14 Kata Female and U14 Kumite Female -52 kg categories.
