The grand final kicked off with the curiosity of the Andalusians' kit, as they wore borrowed attire from CD Tite, coinciding in colors with the opponent. The players hadn't even broken a sweat when Odón opened the scoring for the Basques after dribbling past three players and launching an unstoppable thunderbolt from the edge of the box past Tao (1-0, min. 4).
Barely a minute later, Algeciras sought a quick response, but a low cross into the heart of the Basque area by Joseca found no finisher. However, the Andalusian player tried again down the left flank and this time was rewarded. The cross, at medium height, touched central defender Aritz Fernández and went into the Basque goal to level the score at one.
Martín Pedroarena's directness gave Getxo wings, but it was José Luis Cortés who put the Basques back in front, capitalizing on a rebound in the box (2-1, min. 23).
The Basque team was better positioned on the pitch at the Ciudad Deportiva and timidly dominated an Algeciras that only aimed to cause damage from set pieces, but JJ Riley surprised and pushed the ball into the net with regulation time already elapsed to equalize before halftime (2-2, min. 45).
Two minutes after the restart, Getxo came close to scoring again. A well-weighted pass from Akogo left Iñaki Telletxea with a clear shot that crashed against the Andalusian crossbar. A serious warning from Getxo, but Algeciras struck again and completed the comeback in the 53rd minute after Juanma capitalized on a loose ball in the Basque area (2-3).
The match completely unraveled, and chances came in both areas. The Andalusians took a step forward in the clash, but Getxo did not give up. As the minutes passed, accompanied by suffocating heat in the Arrecife August, the match momentarily dissolved. In the 82nd minute, Javier Avilés attempted an Olympic goal. The Algeciras player grazed Getxo's right post.

UD Lanzarote secured third place in the tournament after thrashing Atlético Paso (4-0), showing very good form ahead of the start of the season.
