Last weekend, the TOP TTR Gáldar was held, an event organized by CB Gran “K” Top Spin, which was attended by more than a hundred players. Among the participants was Adrián Carabali, with an outstanding performance by the Auria Bádminton Club player. He won the bronze medal in the under´19 category, and climbed to the second step of the podium in the doubles category with his partner Zhenxu Chen.
Adrián Carabali, a player who started as the number two seed in the tournament, reached the final round after winning in the group stage against Hugo Negrín (21-13, 21-8) and Aitor José Medina (21-9, 21-13). In the semi-final round, the Auria Bádminton Club player fell against the Danish Johannes Dan in a close match (19-21, 18-21), finally winning the bronze medal in the under´19 category.
As for the doubles category, Adrián Carabali and Zhenxu Chen completed the group stage of the competition with three victories against Saúl González and Raúl Suárez (21-5, 21-12), Aday Correia and Juan José Espinoza (15-21, 21-19, 22-20), and Hugo Negrín and Diego Pérez (21-17, 21-15). Results that allowed them to reach the grand final, where they were defeated by Mateo De Luis and Pablo Gómez (7-21, 9-21).
The results obtained in the TOP TTR Gáldar allow Adrián Carabali to add important points to the national ranking, and to confirm the work he has been doing in the training sessions of the Auria Bádminton Club.
