UD Lanzarote suffered their second consecutive defeat on Wednesday afternoon, seeing the momentum with which they had restarted the competition after the break cut short in just four days. Unlike previous matches, the Rojillos did not have clear ideas to overcome Arucas CF, and it was noticeable that the players had tired legs after the effort made in recent weeks.
The Lanzarote team took to the field with the aim of being well positioned on the pitch, not leaving spaces in their defense and waiting for their opportunity. For its part, Arucas, a team that had more at stake in this match, was quick to generate its first chances. In the 7th minute, a shot by Abraham from the edge of the area could not be blocked by Alejandro, the rebound reached Chiqui and the Lanzarote goalkeeper deflected it enough to send the ball to a corner kick.

The second half of the match was lively, with two teams exerting high pressure in the center of the field. The first warning of the second half was given by UD Lanzarote, with a shot by Ayoze Pérez on the half turn from inside the area that went over the crossbar of the goal.
The forces were balanced on the field, with Arucas well positioned in defensive tasks and going on the counterattack. UD Lanzarote was looking for the equalizer and what could have arrived was the sentence by the locals, with an accurate free kick by Nauzet Alemán and that Alejandro rejected.
With the score of 1 to 0, the match came to an end, with UD Lanzarote suffering the second defeat in a row and placing the Rojillo team in ninth position in the standings. On Sunday, a new revalidation in the marathon of matches, receiving UD Gran Tarajal at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote.
