The Arrecife City Song Festival, held on July 6, 2005, within the patron saint festivities of the popular Valterra Mariner's neighborhood, has become a true platform for artistic launching, catapulting some of its participants to international events.
The Organization of the Arrecife City Festival, directed by its founder and creator Antonio Leal and organized by the Kanario Titeroygakat Social Organization, has made it possible for the winner of this Edition "Juanjo" to begin a successful tour of the main festivals, festivals and acting only and exclusively in the most important events. Likewise, this young man has managed to be in the final of the "Canary Islands International Song Festival" to be held next October in Puerto de La Cruz in Tenerife. In addition, another young singer "Cleofás" winner of the award for the interpretation of the Arrecife City Song Festival is currently in the final of three major International Festivals, the first "International Festival of Songs of the World" to be held on September 17 and 18 in Naples (Italy), the second is the "Canary Islands International Festival" to be held on the aforementioned date and the third will be the "Prague International Song Festival" (Czech Republic) to be held in November. In addition to participating in the preselection of other International Festivals. An unprecedented event, since it is the first time in the history of this island that some Lanzarote natives participate in International Song Festivals.
The success achieved by these young people is due solely and exclusively to the Organization of the "Arrecife City Song Festival", as well as the management carried out by Don Antonio Leal and Don Guillermo Arbelo, and to highlight the great collaboration of the Honorable City Council of Tías, which has understood that the "Arrecife City Song Festival" is an unprecedented Tourist Promotion for the Island, as well as an event for training, promotion and launching our young values.
