We, the people of Lanzarote, are used to becoming a political laboratory for new practices and headless strategies that are usually carried out by the same actors who, in the last 20 years, have had the opportunity to direct the "circus" into which they have often turned island politics. To this, which some already look at with resignation, is what we refuse, those of us who, militating in a political formation, participating in a social organization or individually, believe that it is possible to change things and move towards the future.
In this "crazy academy of politicians" into which some parties want to become, it seems that they are beginning to work on a new formula for relating to society, a different way of doing politics from the not always most common of senses. THE OPPOSITION FROM THE GOVERNMENT, a transgressive form that apparently consists of being part of government groups, adding the assets to their income statement and distancing themselves from those issues in which, having to make decisions, these were not the most popular.
This seems to be the new option of the socialists in Lanzarote who, belonging to the government groups of different institutions without renouncing, of course is, to the salary or to the representativeness in the decision-making bodies can criticize of tirelessly everything that moves even having previously supported it and, what is better, without making any proposal to improve it.
We have seen these forms in its General Secretary day in and day out in the Island Council of Lanzarote, leaving behind such important and necessary issues as the PIOL that, without a doubt, would help to reduce with investment the irreducible unemployment lists on the Island. And we have also seen it these days in the (young and new forms) candidate for this party to the Mayor's Office of Teguise, who, far from losing a few hours to stop to read the sentences that have condemned our main tourist center to remember the scene of a bad war movie; has come to the arena to criticize the solutions that others do try to find. Some buildings that, the population should know, were mostly paralyzed by supposedly failing to comply with a growth plan that was years later overturned by the courts themselves.
We could talk at length about the situation of the annulled licenses of Costa Teguise, but having read the sentences of the same, I think we are not in politics to look to the past but to detect problems and look for solutions in the framework of legality and economic possibilities and, colleagues of the Party Socialist, allow me to tell you that: COSTA TEGUISE NEEDS SOLUTIONS.
Solutions, solutions for all (whatever their acronym) so that the nucleus called to be the main economic, labor and social engine of the municipality reaches again the splendor of yesteryear, solutions for the tourist urbanization with more possibilities of the Canary Islands is the labor and economic lung of our people and look back and remember that those skeletons are there because someone was enlightened one day and imposed a moratorium that was later overturned by Justice, it is good to enrich our knowledge but certainly DOES NOT PROVIDE SOLUTIONS and let me tell you also that I and my colleagues do believe in the politics of solutions and that we will continue to do what we know how to do LOOK FOR SOLUTIONS, whether or not the socialists of the Opposition policy from the Government join.
