The tourism sector of Lanzarote trusts in the pull of British visitors to sustain economic activity between the months of October and December.

The island's business community's forecasts point to a moderate rebound in arrivals from the United Kingdom, a determining factor to mitigate the negative effects of the contraction of peninsular tourism and the slowdown of the German and Nordic markets, according to the specialized publication Preferente.com.

The relevance of this emitter is reflected in the official statistics, where British travelers represent more than half of the tourist flows to Lanzarote, comfortably exceeding the Spanish and German quotas.

On the island, this hegemony is complemented by stable performance in markets such as Irish, French, Dutch, and Italian, compared to the lower push expected for the Nordic countries.

Despite projecting a somewhat more moderate occupancy volume compared to the previous year — with maximums of 80% in October that will decrease towards the end of the year — the business community expects to maintain solid income levels.

As Preferente.com points out, the pricing strategy and the increase in average prices, especially in higher-category hotels, will act as a safeguard for the business and will allow for the preservation of employment levels in the final stretch of the season.
