Today I went to the Deiland Shopping Center and was able to enjoy an exhibition of recycled dresses, a wonderful thing to see.
An extraordinary being, who despite suffering from Parkinson's, his hands and fingers work tirelessly. He learned pattern making, although since 2018 he already sewed by hand, until in 2021 he bought his first sewing machine, I feel fortunate to be his friend and to have been able to see his work up close; he always liked fashion, since he was 21 years old he dressed his nieces, with sheets or pillowcases he made dresses for them. As Einstein said, "There is a driving force more powerful than electricity and atomic energy, it is will."
Gerardo always with his smile; he trains every day with Miguel, an excellent trainer, and his day is productive because he does what he likes, he is an example to follow.
He uses recycled material and his creations are unique, where there is no struggle there is no strength. Never give up because those threads dance, a waltz accompanying your hands, with the most beautiful melody of the sound of that sewing machine.
And even if they keep calling me weird; you and only you taught me that I am not weird; I am different. I have that printed on my skin, and I remember it every day.
Those clothes smell of love, and sacrifice, your struggle to make those hands stop shaking and give you a break to sew.
Beyond fear, there is a beautiful sun, and you are LIGHT.
