From CSIF, we express our firm support for the demonstration called for next June 20, in Arrecife, in defense of the continuity, reform, and strengthening of the Lanzarote Insular Hospital.
The situation this health center is going through is a cause for concern for workers, patients, and the citizens of Lanzarote as a whole. The defense of public, universal, accessible, and quality healthcare necessarily involves guaranteeing the maintenance of existing healthcare resources and promoting the necessary investments to modernize and adapt the island's health infrastructure.
We support the demands of the professionals at the Insular Hospital, who claim to be heard in the face of a reality that directly affects the quality of healthcare and the working conditions of those who sustain the public health system daily. Lanzarote deserves healthcare services in line with the needs of its population and the efforts of its staff.
The reform and continuity of the Insular Hospital is not just a labor demand: it is a social requirement that affects the well-being, safety, and rights of all citizens. Therefore, we call for participation in this mobilization and for the unity of all individuals and groups committed to the defense of public healthcare.
