Some friends and acquaintances I have in Lanzarote, who are aware of my career in social activities and who have read my various comments that I publish daily on lavozdelanzarote.com and on the blog of "Francisco Pomares & Cia" have asked me: Bruno, why instead of continuing with the campaign asking citizens to vote blank in the next elections, don't we create a party of honest and upright citizens, and present you to them as the head of the list for the presidency of the Cabildo or for the Mayor's Office of the Arrecife City Council?

I answered more or less the same to everyone, telling them: If one day I decided to participate in the active politics of a municipality or Cabildo of Lanzarote, I would first do a small survey to determine how much support I have.

I also added: How can I now, after asking for a blank vote, tell citizens that I intend to run for one position or another?

They replied: You must explain to them that you have a curriculum vitae that supports you with the capacity to lead the political reins of the island, and give them new options to choose from; such as: They can vote for one of the existing parties, vote blank, or for the one we make, which we could well call: Honest Party of Lanzarote, initials, P.H.L.

After listening to some and others, I have meditated on it for a few days, and now I ask you: Who of you would vote for a party made up of honest and upright people, prepared in tourism, administration, architecture, agriculture, environment, education, engineering, fishing, laws, international politics, and languages, but who have never stepped into active politics?

For those who do not know me, I leave a small part of my vital curriculum and ideas and intentions for the future.

A: I am a 58-year-old man, self-taught, I speak four languages and I have a lot of

world behind me.

B: I have written and published a book entitled "Believing in God is a sin", of

433 pages, composed of history and anti-religion; and I have five others almost finished.

C: I have always been a person very interested in all kinds of sciences. I know

about Astronomy, global geography, politics, and a lot about human sociology.

D: I have been instructed in different practical knowledge: they have been of the nature of trades, the handling of a computer, and certain special knowledge, (called intellectual).

E: I know the politics of Spain, the Canary Islands and international politics, and I am

preparing myself in topics related to Public Administration, in

General, and especially for the Canarian municipalities.

F: Among some of the things that my colleagues and I did, for the social good of

Lanzarote; the most outstanding was that, starting in 1990, we began with other colleagues, an information and education campaign against drugs, which invaded our Lanzarote territory, and we culminated it more or less in the year 2000. This fight spread through national and international media: we were recognized by several state entities, and even by the United Nations. We saved with our eagerness and emphasis thousands of young people from Conejero, and we created the opportunity for hundreds of others to regenerate through a clinic and medical systems: social needs that we achieved with our firm will and the financial help of the Lanzarote companies "Grupo Los Rosa".

What will I do if I am elected mayor or president of the Cabildo?

A: Depending on the position I obtain, the normal daily work of government.

B: During my term, I will give all pensioners who are receiving the minimum

pension, 100 euros each month as an extra social aid.

C: I will restore all the houses to pensioners who receive a minimum pension and who

live alone, or accompanied by their husband or wife. (Only suitable for

people who do not receive sufficient help from other state and social means).

D: I will build a large Renewable Energy Park, a replica of the pyramids of

Egypt, which will be a tourist attraction and a means of obtaining electricity to

light up almost or the entire municipality. I will also make solar energy fields

mounted on large platforms, in the sea off our coasts.

E: The Muelle Chico park, I will convert it into a Botanical Garden of exotic plants and flowers, its skeleton built with aluminum, and roof and walls with glass; (which at the same time educates as if it were a school), and is also a tourist attraction and a place of enjoyment for the citizens of the island.

F: In the Arrecife of the ex-Roccar I will try to reach an agreement with the owners to

in that place make a new Mayor's Office with parking, and a citizen recreation area

citizen. And at the entrance of the City Hall I will hang a clearly visible sign that will say: Here we do not do favors that are outside the Law, nor do we accept commissions, nor other illegalities.

G: In part of the land owned by the Arrecife City Council below the

Montaña Mina, I will make a large leisure center for the bars and

other businesses that create strong noises to be installed there.

H: I will asphalt all the streets; and as special, I will also asphalt all the sidewalks that

are outside the center of Arrecife, as is done in these countries of Europe where

I am now; saving with it the mosaics and everything else that involves opening and

closing the mentioned ones; apart, the sidewalks in black will play very well in decoration

well with the white of the houses.

I: I will connect internationally with travel agencies so that Arrecife

has its tourism; and through international agreements, we will make exchanges every six months of modern and folk music groups, to fraternize ties of friendship and business.

J: I will fill the beaches that lack sand, and I will promote them internationally.

K: I will make a folk festival one Saturday of each month, between Calle Real and Muelle Chico

folk festival for tourism and the people to enjoy.

L: I will implement in the schools of Arrecife an education system against drugs

and respect for the citizen, (especially towards the elderly). And as special and civic, one Saturday of each month, with the permission of the parents, I will invite boys and girls, and without anyone's permission "to adults", so that everyone with my councilors and I, that day we use it to clean the plains and dirty places; free lunch for all, and school supplies as a gift for each infant and infant who decides to participate.

M: I will convert the current City Hall into a night school of computer science (free) for adults and young people.

N: I will bring every month a million tons of mineral drinking water from the Norwegian fjords, for the population of Lanzarote and for irrigation, at a price of 70 cents per ton, contrary to what "Inalsa" produces, which costs almost two euros per ton.

O: My salary and that of my councilors or advisors, we will reduce them by 30% monthly; but that of the officials who work inside or outside the Cabildo or the Mayor's Office, we will increase them by 10%; including the Local Police.

I have many other initiatives in my brain, but for now, I think these occupy the space that is allowed to me in this publication.

I repeat: Who of you would vote for a party like the one I have presented to you?

P.D: I need people. If anyone feels prepared and with the courage to face this challenge, please contact me through this email: brunoperera@gmx.at

P.D. 2: I accept insults as an answer, I will answer them later".
