The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism, has put out to tender the supply of two hybrid PMR buses for the Volcano Route of the Timanfaya National Park.
"In this way, the entity will reinforce the fleet of this important route with two new buses, which add to the six recently incorporated, with the common objective of increasing, improving and modernizing the service," they point out from the Island Corporation.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, highlights that "these two vehicles not only increase the capacity to receive visitors in the National Park, but also align with the sustainable policies promoted by the Institution by being hybrid, more efficient and respectful with the environment than the older buses in the fleet."
For his part, the CEO of the CACT, Benjamín Perdomo, explained that, "thanks to the savings from the tender for the first six buses, it has been possible to tender for the purchase of two new ones, so when the process is finished we will have eight vehicles and a completely renovated, efficient and ecological mobile park to cover the idea of two shuttle parking lots."
The allocated amount is 588,500 euros and interested companies may submit their offers until November 14 through the electronic headquarters of the State contracting platform.
