The municipality of Yaiza has said goodbye to the electrical wiring and the medium voltage towers. The City Council has hired a company to remove and dismantle four towers that were still in the urban area of the municipality.
The mayor, Óscar Noda, attended the tower removal area this Thursday morning with the aim of verifying the commissioned works. The leader affirms that in this way they "have fulfilled the municipal commitment" with the residents "to free the town from the visual impact produced by the cables and metal structures."
The City Council executed the pipelines to give way from the medium voltage line to the underground route and it was necessary to remove the cables and dismantle the four towers. "The works have been coordinated at all times between the company Endesa, which previously carried out the pertinent technical tests for the definitive change, and municipal personnel attached to our Technical Office," according to the mayor.
Yaiza managed with the Government of the Canary Islands a subsidy destined to execute initiatives in the areas of socioeconomic influence of the National Parks of the Canary Islands, investing 90,000 euros in this project that this week concludes its execution.
