The Yaiza City Council, chaired by Óscar Noda, is carrying out new works this week to condition the dirt roads that give access to the Papagayo beaches.

In this sense, the City Council has invested 40,000 euros from its budget to improve seven kilometers of dirt tracks from the entrance in Las Coloradas de Playa Blanca to the parking areas of the Los Ajaches Natural Monument.

Yaiza has hired heavy machinery to rectify the surface, provide aggregate material and compact the surface of these tracks that support a notorious increase in the circulation of vehicles due to the summer season and the campsite managed by the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

“We are executing another forceful action with our own resources because the deterioration is greater as a result of the increase in road traffic during the holiday season”, points out the mayor, Óscar Noda, who visited the enclave together with the Councilor for the Mobile Park of Yaiza, Rubén Arca, and a person in charge of the company that carries out this municipal commission.
